On the 15th of December small group of PSAC members joined the traditional Santa dive charity event at Vobster. Expectations were high – good cold dive, lots of people and fun … Most of us (well except for Andrew who traveled day before) started soon after 5 and arrived at Vobster well after the gate opening at 7:30, fact that we still got the prime parking spaces surprised us somewhat… Well – when we looked at the water we understood – vis was very optimistically assessed around a meter… Still jumped in, Alex and me gave up after 8 minutes, Lukas and Oskar after 10. Andrew and Jack decided that they cannot get lost in a quarry and bumbled around for 55 minutes 🙂 – well done ! The rest of the day was great though – cold, yes but quite sunny. Vobster provided obligatory warm minced pies, lunch burgers. RNLI and help for Heros got some of our monies, Andrew and myself got some of it back by winning reel (Andrew) and Book (me) in the raffle …
Summary – not what we planned for but good day for a good cause …
